Aids is present in much of the chronicles of Caio Fernando Abreu, especially after being diagnosed with the disease. The writer elaborates a specific language to talk about the subject, combining biography, fiction and testimony. The freedom of the newspaper chronicle is ideal for the realization of that literary experience. Moreover, the frequency of publication and the proximity with the reader allow the political of the writer action to combat the prejudice against the disease.
