Abstract

This article aims, through the analysis of the essay Literature and the right to die, by Maurice Blanchot, to investigate the literary word and language as overviews of the denial of reality and life, and of the affirmation of death and the struggle as meanings of literature, in the opposite direction of that postulated by the advocates of representation as the only theme for the literary exercise.
