Abstract

This paper examines the autobiography Moi, Pierre Seel, déporté homosexuel (I, Pierre Seel, Deported Homosexual), testimony of a gay French who openly speak about his experience of deportation during the Second World War and prisoner of a Nazi concentration camp. Using as a theoretical basis the Theory of Testimony, which studies the different types of witness narratives about events and situations of extreme violence, the focus of this work is to observe the issues relating to this type of production from the point of view of a homosexual. Furthermore, we attempt to elucidate the reasons why the gay survivors remained forgotten for so long at the official history.
