Edmund Spenser no palco irlandês: perspectivas interculturais em <i>Mutabilitie</i>

Este trabalho apresenta um olhar sobre a apropriação de fatos biográficos e históricos, relativos ao poeta inglês Edmund Spenser, pelo dramaturgo irlandês Frank McGuinness, em Mutabilitie (1997). Verificou-se que esta peça conjuga informações atuais fragmentadas sobre o período elisabetano com partes de textos de Spenser. Desta maneira, foi analisado o potencial de transposição de uma fase da vida do poeta inglês para o palco, considerando que McGuinness procura, através de intertextos, reler a história irlandesa daquela época, mediante o cruzamento de culturas, expressão utilizada por Patrice Pavis para explicar a interculturalidade no teatro.Referências
