Entre a expansão e a sobrevivência: a viagem de Albert Thomas ao Cone Sul da América

Neste artigo analisarei as relações estabelecidas entre a Organização Internacional do Trabalho (OIT) e os países da América do Sul, mas especificamente, com o Brasil, Argentina, Uruguai e Chile. Para poder apresentar esta relação a nossa analise centra-se num momento especifico da mesma, a viagem que realizou em 1925 o Secretario Geral da OIT, Albert Thomas, a estes quatro países. Esta viagem teve como objetivos: a divulgação das ações da OIT e reunir informações sobre a situação do mundo do trabalho nestes países. Também se pretendia insuflar vida a uma relação que até o momento tinha pouco interesse mutuo. Para uma melhor compreensão temos realizado uma breve apresentação da criação da OIT e do seu primeiro Secretário Geral.Métricas
